Fortnite Mobile is a third-person battyle royale game available on Android smartphones. Unlike most PC ports, Fortnite and its mobile counterpart are virtually the same exact game. Unreal Engine 4 allows developer Epic Games to scale its games up and down to match any combination of hardware. Few tweaks need to be made in order to make the PC version of Fortnite into the mobile version on Android and iOS.

How Does Each Game of Fortnite Work?

In each game, players drop onto a gigantic map with cities and points of interest. Individual players hop out of a flying bus and parachute to their starting point of choice. A hundred players fight each other in order to be the last individual or team standing. Throughout the match, an electrical storm closes in, forcing players into a smaller and smaller combat area. Weapons, armor, and power-ups litter the map.

Fortnite Mobile offers players options for Solo, Duos, and Squad matches.

A Game That Executes Mobile Controls Well

As previously mentioned, Fortnite Mobile features the same gameplay as regular Fortnite. A control scheme adapted for mobile devices is the only noticeable difference here. Touch controls in Fortnite Mobile feel intuitive, but they're still limited compared to a traditional controller or keyboard and mouse. Nonetheless, players can use various peripherals to give themselves a traditional experience. Most players will opt for the touchscreen controls for portability, though.

The Same Gameplay Players Have Come to Expect and Enjoy

Individual rounds of Fortnite Mobile remain as exciting and fast as the main game. Players will find themselves getting into firefights and seeking out that Victory Royale. Without a doubt, Fortnite Mobile features excellent gameplay that feels right at home for PC players of Fortnite. It's an excellent experience that doesn't sacrifice anything from the main game, which is an impressive feat to say the least. A large number of weapons, power-ups, and character skins keep things fresh.

Constant updates to the main and mobile games keep Fortnite an exiting experience.

The Final Verdict on Fortnite Mobile

In the end, Fortnite Mobile only comes with two main problems: the controls and the battery drain. The game utilizes a lot of battery capacity during extended gaming sessions, so players may want to keep a charger nearby. Otherwise, Fortnite Mobile remains one of the best mobile games available for Android users. It's rare that a mobile version of a full game doesn't sacrifice anything. Cross-play features for PC and mobile users help provide the best experience possible, too.
